Fragment identifiers are not passed by a Web browser to a server as part of a URL request I found that out the hard way too, when I redirected old, month-based URLs to individual files. Basically I had to keep the old month archives (with new URL scheme) and keep the identifiers inside them. Can fragment identifier redirection be done in Javascript? [#]
